Hand fabricated from argentium and sterling silver, citrine, moldavite, quartz, ammonite, tourmaline, peridot, sphere, opal. Custom 12” x 18” x 1.5” frame by Dolphin Frames. Pendant measures 5” x 2.5” on 25” chain.
Icarus was the son of Daedalus, a master craftsman. One day they got stuck in a labyrinth together. To escape, Daedalus made wings out of wax and feathers, and warned Icarus not to fly too high. Icarus took to the sky and became ecstatic, he flew into the sun, the wax melted and he fell to his death. I chose a dazzling color palate for this piece and it’s heavy, it weighs over a pound. I made it for those lost to addiction.
